Welcome to Writing and Editing Tips and Tricks.com!
We produce brief, fun, and easy-to-understand videos along with courses and articles that coach writers and editors on writing strategies: how to organize ideas, get writing, keep the words moving, and finish the job effectively and efficiently.
More productivity. Less stress.
We are a London, Ontario-based Canadian team who produce an expanding library of educational and motivational video tools. Each offers writing-and editing-related problem-solving strategies and considerations designed to help keep the words moving and guide you to a successful finish.
Our primary focus is on process, presentation, and motivation (as grammar and punctuation are already expertly handled online), explaining not just “what to do” but also “how to do it.”
The first episodes explain and demonstrate how a story skeleton can help writers can overcome blocks by creating a project roadmap that will help them identify and clarify their writing goals; how speaking aloud can be an essential writing and editing tool; and the secrets of writing practices that produce assured, successful results.
As of January 2022, the contents of these videos have been expanded and developed into a course I am now offering through Zoom, Skeletons Tell Stories: Effective and Efficient Writing Strategies.
Upcoming episodes will explore topics such as how to capture and translate a more authentic voice, strategies for effective naming conventions, the resume skeleton, visual considerations and their impact on your message, how audience expectations can act as an editing guide, and more.
Whether someone is writing or editing newsletters or PowerPoint presentations, blogs or business reports, fiction or essays, Writing and Editing Tips and Tricks.com’s videos can help people achieve their communication goals.
Keep the words moving.
